Appliances - What to do with them?

Have you ever watched those fixer TV shows and wondered why they throw away pretty decent cabinets and appliances? Well I have your answer… they are too old! Yep, I said it. Seriously, most places like Habitat for Humanity will not take appliances and cabinets over 8 years old. My suggestion would be to give them away to friends, family or neighbors. When I’m on jobs and I see some nice appliances, fixtures, fabrics, etc. and the homeowner doesn’t know what to do with them, I ask my team members first if they want them. Its a good way to upcycle and to keep the landfills from filling up faster.
